Types of Massages Offered

Our licensed massage therapists can provide 30 minute, 60 minute or 90 minute massages. They offer several types of massage:

Sports Massage

Sports massage is specifically designed for people who are involved in physical activity but also used by those who are active and work out often. A sports massage should become part of your exercise routine. This is particularly true if you find that you do not spend enough time stretching after an intense work out. The focus of the sports massage is not on relaxation but rather prevention and treatment of injury, as well as enhancement of athletic performance.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue are targeted in the deep tissue massages. This type of massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems or recovery from injury.

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is created by a tight area in one place in the body. This causes pain in another area of the body. Our Trigger Point Therapy is designed to release the myofascia tissue covering the muscle which relieves the stress from overuse. Typically these sessions are shorter sessions or intertwined with any other modality.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage features dynamic therapy of long strokes, friction and compression. This is the most common massage technique. Swedish massage is designed to invigorate the body by stimulating the flow of blood to the heart.

Hot Stones

Heated, smooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles and balance energy centers in the body. This type of massage is good for people with muscle tension, but prefer a lighter massage than the deep tissue.
